In Hamlet, explain, in your own words, the ghost's commands to Hamlet.

You have asked that what the ghost commands his dear
son-Hamlet, the prince of Denmark in Act I scene 5. My answer is below:

ANSWER:

Introduction:
Hamlet was the handsome and charming prince of Denmark. His father- the former, late
king of Denmark was also named Hamlet and his queen, Gertrude.

But his (King Hamlet's) younger brother-Claudius envied
him and wanted himself to sit on the throne instead of him and to obtain his beautiful
wife. As he was naturally a wicked person and so as far as his burning ambition was
concerned, he could do whatever necessary to make it happen. He murdered him to fulfill
his envious and lustful ambition. His beautiful wife-Queen Gertrude was off to no good,
either. She loved Claudius and wanted him to become king and also helped him in his
murdering of her husband.

He killed King Hamlet in a secret way. One
day, whilst the king was sleeping in the palace orchard, Claudius had crept up to him
and committed murder by pouring a fatal poison – hebenon into his ears. He had later
married Queen Gertrude to further ensure his obtaining of the king’s throne. In this
way, he had become king.

But his nephew, Prince Hamlet was
very sad. He always mourned for the death of his beloved father. But, one day, something
weird happened.

Horatio- his dearest friend came rushing
into his room with a strange story. He told him that the soldiers on guard the castle
walls had seen the ghost of old King Hamlet. It had appeared at midnight, wearing the
armour of the old king. They had also noted the deep sadness within it.

Hamlet was stunned and took it as very strange.
He decided to stay with the soldiers at the castle walls to see what was really
happening.

Main
answer:
Waiting for a while, atlast, the ghost came in sight.

At first, the ghost did not speak. It beckoned Hamlet to
leave his companions and to follow it to the edge of the castle. Hamlet followed the
ghost, then.

The ghost assured Hamlet that he was truely
his father's spirit and told him to carefully listen to the words he was going to speak.

He told Hamlet that he was condemned to walk there every
night until the revenge was taken for the crime committed against him. When Hamlet asked
about the crime, the ghost replied that his death was not a simple death but an
unnatural murder. While he was sleeping in his orchard, his brother - Claudius had crept
up to him and poured some hebenon - a fatal poison into his ears. He also told him that
his mother had also played a part in his murder. He wanted revenge and he commanded
Hamlet that he must take his revenge for his father's murder on Claudius. However,
strangely enough, he also warned Hamlet that not to harm his mother in any way as she
would be led to repentance by her conscience. Saying this, he
disappeared.

Comment on the setting and character of "The Fall of the House of Usher."How does setting act as a character?

Excellent observation, as it identifies how the settings of Poe's stories reflect the characters of their protagonists. Whet...
