What is "Objective scoring." Is there any relationship of objective scoring apper in the following scenerio. 7th grade writing classroom....

Another way to say "objective" is neutral.  When scoring
exams, a person must not have any biases or external motivations in order to be
objective.  It's virtually impossible, which is why almost all essay scoring is
subjective in nature.

Multiple choice exams are often the
best examples of objective scoring, as there is only one right answer, and the scorer's
bias cannot affect the outcome of whether the student gets the answer right or
wrong.

In the scenario you describe, the student is
motivated by getting a good grade, and therefore cannot be objective in scoring their
own writing.  There is too much incentive to inflate their own
scores.
