On what part of the body is the nervous tissue located?

Nervous tissue consists of brain tissue, cranial nerves,
spinal nerves, and peripheral nerves contained in the different nervous systems. For
example, the central nervous system or CNS is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The
brain is housed in the cranium and the spinal cord is housed in the vertebral column.
Motor and sensory nerves originate from different locations and have different
functions. Cranial nerves originate from the base of the brain and travel to various
locations in the body. Some cranial nerves have motor functions and some have sensory
functions. Peripheral nerves travel to distant parts of the body, they too are also
motor and sensory depending upon which nerve you are talking
about.

Nervous tissue, like other types of tissues are
highly specialized. They have unique structures and very unique
functions.
