From 1450-1750 compare the political social and economics of empire building in the Spanish and Ottoman Empires.

During the century stretching from 1450 and 1550, the
Spanish were very busy conquering the INca and the Aztecs and taking control of much of
South and Central America as well as stocking the colonies with slave labour after
smallpox and other diseases wiped out millions of the
natives.

The Ottomans were also busy expanding in areas all
around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.  Then enter Suleiman the Great and his
massive conquests in Europe and the Ottoman's rise to supremacy in that area was
complete.

In some ways, both empires peaked around this
time, particularly in terms of their land holdings.
