This is really a personal response question that nobody
can really give you any correct answers for. It is something that you need to think
about and decide for yourself. I can tell you what I would do, but you really do need
to sit down and decide for yourself what you would
do.
Would you be willing to give up the use
of a vehicle for a year in order to protest against the oil company’s
profits?
I don't have my driver's license,
and as such, I do not own a vehicle so I have no vehicle to give up for a year; however,
that said if I did, I believe that I
would.
What cause (for example animal
cruelty, anti-war, human rights violations, ending genocide in Africa) would you be
willing to take action to promote awareness and help foster
change?
There are so many causes I would
readily take action to promote. These days it has been the right for homosexuals to
marry and adopt children.
List three items
you would be willing to give up in order to support a cause or show your commitment.
Explain why you chose each item.
I became a
vegetarian many years ago to support animal rights, and to this day I am still a
vegetarian. I won't provide three, but that's to give you an idea of the kinds of
things you could be thinking about.
Think of
a time where you sacrificed something for principle. In other words, describe a time
when you gave up something because it violated one of your beliefs or moral standards.
If you are unable to think of a personal experience, write about a situation where you
would sacrifice for one of your
principles.
I quit what was for all intents
and purposes my dream job because I was treated poorly, and expected to do things that
were beyond the scope of my job.
Good luck with your
personal exploration! :)
