What did the Colisseum reveal about ancient Rome? Watch the following video then answer the questions: History Of RomanColisseum - Youtube...

The video does not really say all that much on this topic
-- it does not really say much of what I think the Colosseum actually does say about
Rome and its civilization.


The video says (again a bit
after the 2 minute mark) that what is really significant about the building is that it
showed how advanced Rome was.  The guy on the video says something about how it
symbolized the power and wealth and the engineering ability of ancient
Rome.


However, you really have to think about what went on
in the arena, as described later in the video.  This shows me, at least, that the Romans
were a pretty bloodthirsty bunch who were willing to spend that sort of money and effort
on a place to watch people kill one another.
