Which snakes are most deadly?

Many factors influence the seriousness of a snake
bite. These factors include the victim's  health, size, age, and psychological state.
The nature of the bite may also vary, like penetration of one or both fangs, amount of
venom injected , location of the bite , and proximity to major blood vessels. The health
of the snake and the interval since it last used its venom mechanism is also important.
If the interval between the bites is less then more venom will be present when it bites
the next time and if the interval is more then the quantity of venom will be less.
These multiple variables make every bite unique. Depending on circumstances, the bite
of a “mildly” venomous snake may be life-threatening and that of a “strongly” venomous
snake may not.

However, it is generally agreed that the
"Inland Taipan" which is native to Australia is the deadliest snake in the
world.

The snakes which account for the largest number of
fatalities are found in India. They are, the King Cobra, the Cobra, Russell's Viper, the
Krait and the saw scaled viper.
